link error not finding Problem.obj

I have a project that uses Meaurement Studio in VC++. Everything was fine until I used MStudio wizard to add support for common objects. Project refused to compile and link because the compiler could not find some .h and .Lib files. I included the path for .h files to the preprocessor options of VC under project/settings and the path for the *.Lib files to Linker option of project setting. Linker now complains that it cannot find C:\problem.obj This file does not exist on the C: drive. has anybody seen this problem before?
