control the temperature

i want to control the temperature using T C 100 , the input module 5B34 in the backplane E series , conecting with the SC 2050 and final in the 6035E card in the pc, and i cant have the reading of the temperature in the Measurement and instrument . in the runing of an easy program LAbView - raeding the temperature - gives out an 10608 error , saying that the transfer from the input is not corect. how i can resolve mi problem?

Also , in the program Measurement & Automation where is the grafic of the measurement of the input (sensor temperature) , there is noise in the signal . there is a problem in the configuracion of the input ?

Hello yanis,

This error makes me think that your 5B system is not setup or configured properly.  The first step is to make sure that your PCI-6035E DAQ card is setup properly.  To use the 5B signal conditioning accessories, you will want to have the latest version of Traditional NI-DAQ installed on your system.  If in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX), your card shows up under Traditional NI-DAQ Devices, and you can open a test-panel by right-clicking on the device, it is installed properly.

Next, you should verify that your 5B system is installed correctly.

After you have ensured that you have everything connected properly, your best resource for troubleshooting your system will be the test-panels in MAX.  These test panels make direct driver calls to your device, so if you can acquire data properly with these test panels, but not with a LabVIEW program, the issue is definitely in the programming.

Regarding the noise you are seeing in MAX, is there a constant offset to the signal, or is it fluctuating alot around the ideal reading?  The 5B34 module compensates for lead resistance in 3 and 4 wire RTDs, which should take card of any constant offset caused by the resistances of the lead wires of your RTD.  The module also contains a low-pass filter which should filter out any noise induced in your RTD circuit.  Maybe you could provide some more information about the noise you are seeing.  Also, take a look at the following document for some ideas for eliminating noise:

Field Wiring and Noise Considerations for Analog Signals

Let us know if you are still having issues with getting your 5B system configured.  I hope this helps!

thanxs for helping me . it was wrong the conexion of the sensor (RTD 4 bridges) , and i fixed it . also the configuration of the AI was a little dificult , i have done it like this : * phisical cuandity - units :   Deg C
                                                                     - range:   min/0.00 , max/100.00
                                       * sensor : voltage
                                                                     - units :   V
                                                                     - scaling formula : map range in 0 - 5

now i have the signals of the analog input and the digital output relay . the relay of the backplane 70RCK8 is conected with the DIGITAL I/O of the SC-2050 . i found a program named ``ON/OFF_control_with_histerisis`` and it s running well . i need and others programs which controls the temperature with module digital , also with analog output 0 - 5 volts , the AO module is conected in the 15th place in the backplane 5B01 , and is working properly in the measurement and automation explorer . there are any persons who have these programs ? i really apreciate if someone send me some help.

Hello yanis,

If you are able to correctly send an output voltage to the module in Measurement and Automation Explorer, then you should be able to use one of the analog output example programs for your version of LabVIEW.  Test the program to make sure that LabVIEW can output different voltages.  You can then integrate the example code into your program to allow the Analog Output to happen in your program.
