cDAQ 9181 and NI-9862 (1 port CAN) compatibility?

Solved!
Go to solution

I have a cDAQ 9181 which is discoverable via MAX however when plugging into it an NI 9862 card, that card is not discovered. The same card in a cDAQ 9188 is discovered. An NI 9205 plugged into the 9181 is discovered.

I see in the documentation that the 9181 supports XNET but I find nothing mentioning incompatibility with the 9862. My 9181 firmware is up to date at 1.7.1f0 and I'm using MAX 2022 Q3. Am I spinning my wheels trying to accomplish something that just isn't possible?

This issue was caused by a bent pin in the chassis. cDAQ 9181 works very well with NI-9862
