WindowsGetCommError = 0x4000

When running simple analog input  tasks on my hardware device (PCIe-6251 multifunction DAQ device) in real-time using VI Logger Lite v. 2.0.1 (DAQ-mx), I get a Windows GetCommError of 0x4000 and Engine Error! messages in an error box. These tasks don't give errors when in "test" task mode, but when running the task in real-time, there is always failure, even with the "Jump to the real-time data view when task starts" box unchecked.

Hi,

I was hoping that you could clarify what you are doing when you run the task in real time? Are you viewing real-time data or are you using some real time VI's in the code? Also, do you have any problems simply running the task in LabVIEW without any real time functionality? Any screenshots of the errors you are getting would be extremely helpful.

Regards,
Hal L.

OK, here's a screeshot of the error. I called NI, they said installing the latest version of NI-DAQmx will fix the problem. This error is happening in VI Logger for NI-DAQmx, I don't have LabVIEW yet.

Hi,

That is a very strange error you are running into. Let us know what happens when you upgrade to the latest version of DAQmx.

OK, I upgraded to DAQmx v. 8.10 and configured my SCC-68 connector block in NI-MAX, and still I get an error when running tasks in VI logger. Attached is a screenshot of the error and the system information.
