Using NI9205 as Differential

Solved!
Go to solution

I'm wanting to use NI9205, specifically the differential channels.  I know what channels are tied together for differential purposes (AI0 - AI8, AI1 - AI9, etc.), but my question is how to set this up in FlexLogger.  I have the option to set channel AI0 as a differential terminal configuration, but not for AI8.  Do I even need to setup Channel AI8 if AI0 is configured as differential?

Thank you.

Hey brethigh,

If you configure a channel on 9205 as differential, you do not need to do any additional channel configuration on the corresponding differentially-paired channel.

For example, configuring AI0 on the 9205 with a differential terminal configuration does not require any channel configuration on channel AI8. We will not block you from configuring AI8 as a single-ended measurement if useful to you, but you will not be able to configure a new channel on AI8 as a differential measurement.

For those who see this and may not be familiar with the 9205's differential pairings: https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/ni-9205-getting-started/page/overview.html
