USB X series (6361) won't switch on

My USB X series DAQ won't switch on when plugged into mains power. When I press to power on, the active and ready lights on the front flash blue and then turn off. I have used it in this set-up before so don't know why it won't work.

Does the device appear in NI MAX? If so what does it look like here? Does it pass self-test?

Having a look at the manual it looks like the device is at least initially recognised but perhaps the correct version of DAQmx isn't installed?

You could also try:

1.  unplugging the device and plugging it in different USB ports, after doing this, please go to MAX and press F5 to refresh MAX for new instruments 
2. Checking Device Manager, and if the device is present updating your device USB drivers: https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA00Z0000019La2SAE
