USB 6210 output impedance

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I am using the USB 6210 to generate a pulse train with the counter. I would like to know the output impedance of the daq to avoid impedance mismatching. Is it expecting to drive a 50 ohm load? I could not find that info in the manual.

Thanks,

Miko

Hello Miko,

Why are you concerned about impedance matching and what type of device are you connecting to? The USB 6210 uses TTL, and therefore has varying impedance values. As long as your current is below -16 mA for 2.7 V or -6 mA for 3.8 V (as listed on product spec manual: http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/371932f.pdf) , you should be fine.

Hello Haly,

I thought there was an impedance mismatch between the DAQ and an oscilloscope (I was checking the output signal), but it turned out to be a connection issue with one part of the circuit. Thanks anyway for your reply, it is still helpful.
