USB 6009 MAX says - "Initialization failed. Unable to init LV Broker. Lab View Run-Time v.7.1.0 is required."

Hello,

I want to use my USB 6009 and started the Measurement & Automation Explorer, but it says "Initialization failed. Unable to init LV Broker. Lab View Run-Time v.7.1.0 is required."

What can i do?

I use Windows XP with SP2. Labview 8.0 is installed. System was rebooted. Driver-CD from USB 6009 is installed and System was rebootet. I conected the Device and it was found and installed. Is is correctly listed in the Hardwaremanager of Windows. In do not have any more Ideas of what I did wrong.

I hope somebody could help me solving this Problem.

Dear Mr. Gronotte,

the LV Broker is installed by all drivers that uses LabVIEW testpanels like DAQmx does. In your case it seems
that the LV Broker installation is corrupted or has failed. Ich would like to ask you to have a look into

C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\LabVIEW Broker or when you are using a german XP
C:\Programme\National Instruments\Shared\LabVIEW Broker

and check the files included in this directory. It should be similar to the screenshot I attached. Please post the
result of your check. Thanks in advance.

One more thing is how i have to telt about. An older english Version was once installed,

but i didn't uninstall it, I simply removed the Path in the Windows Explorer.

Hi Markus,

the easyiest way could be that you try to copy the files included in the attached zip-file into the LV Broker directory. In this case please replace the installed files. Then try again. If the files only have been installed corruptly then the problem should be solved in this step. Please let me know if there are furthermore problems.

Hello, I met the same problem when I opened Measurement and Automation, but I use Compact DAQ, Labview 8.01 and DAQmx 8.1. I copied the files to the Broker directory but it does not work. The same measage still appears. Do not know what I can do.
