USB-6001 Digital Outputs

Hello,

I am looking into moving from a USB-6210 to a USB-6001. The 6210 currently drives, among other things, two relays (1) with digital outputs. I'm not able to confidently determine whether the 6001 can also perform this function (in particular whether the max current of the digital outputs is sufficient).

Any help would be appreciated!

It would not directly function due to the below reasons,

• SSR requires 10mA @ 3V to TurnOn
  
• USB-6210 DO can supply up to 16mA (interpolating the VOH values gives 10mA @ ~3.3V)
  
  
  
• USB-6001 drive is limited to 4mA (VOH is 2.1V at 4mA load) 
  

Option,

• Use external transistor (like BC547) to drive low side of SSR (where the + is connected to 5V from 6001)
