Trouble after PCI-6024E installation

I have installed a PCI-6024E card and its driver on a Dell Optiplex
computer under Windows 98.
Unfortunately I initially installed the card and then the software
contrary as what is indicated in the instruction manual.
Since this installation, an error message appears at the end of the
boot. This message is in French but the translation gives something
like that :
"Mmtask
Error in your program. To continue to work, clic on Ignore and
record your work in a new file. Clique on Close to exit. The
recorded data will be lost."
Could you tell me how to repair that ?
