Hi there,
Im trying to get the data from an Agilent Multimeter 34401A with a Labview 8.6 by RS232.
In general no problem, but when i wanna get voltages in high frequences, like 1Khz, it doesn´t work.
I´ve heard it has something to do with the trigger, but i don´t have much familiarity with it.
I´ve looked also two examples, that come together in the driver from the multimeter i´ve downloaded in the Agilent website, but i have changed the parameters and no sucsseful results were obtained.
If anybody has any experience with, it would be very useful.
Thanks in advance, Carlos Mayer
p.s: here are the two examples

First, you posted to the wrong board. You are not using an NI data acquisition board. The proper forum would have been the Instrument control one. Second, I don't understand at all your comment about downloading a driver from Agilent. A 34401 driver has shipped with every version of LabVIEW for as long as I can remember. However, it does look like the examples you posted are the same as the examples that come with LabVIEW so maybe no harm done. Lastly, 'it doesn't work' is very vague. What exactly doesn't work? Do you get an error, smoke coming out of the instrument, what?
With the software trigger example, what do you have set for the sample count? Do you know what the sample interval for the 34401 is? It's in the manual and is it adequate for the frequency you are trying to measure (think Nyquist)?
