No hardware recognized

I use a pci 6032E and the 6.9.2 and 6.9.3 drivers but windows xp doesn't recognize my hardware. What's the problem? It's fine with windows 98.

Xavigonzalvo,

First of all, make sure you don't have two drivers in your computer. I mean, you shouldn't have nidaq 6.9.2 and nidaq 6.9.3 in the computer at the same time. If so, delete all of them from Add/Remove Software, and then clean the register. Then, turn off the computer, and unplug the board, and then follow the link below step by step in order to install the software and hardware.

If that wasn't the case, then, follow the troubleshooting suggestions that are under Hardware Configuration >> Data Acquisition Configuration Wizard >> Common Problems >> Windows 2000.

Hope this helps,

Hello;

The best bet is to uninstall completely all NI Software you might have installed on that machine.
Then install only one version of the NI-DAQ driver, and run the MAX Test Panel to test the board.

After you make the board to be recognized by MAX, you can go ahead and install all the other NI Software you might have, but always make sure to have only one version of the NI-DAQ driver installed (Labview will install another NI-DAQ copy if you choose the complete installation instead of the custom one).

Hope this helps.
