Multifunction DAQ (PXIe-6363) lock in amplifier implementation

Solved!
Go to solution

I have PXIe-6363 DAQ and I wonder can it be programmed to perform some complicated tasks, like a lock-in amplifier in real-time. Specifically, to lock to a reference input frequency using PLL, generate a locked reference, and then digitally calculate the demodulated signal with the reference. I had experience with FPGA, on which any logic could be implemented onboard in real-time. I am not quite sure how this works on this DAQ.

Unfortunately, you cannot do real-time stuff, all decision making and processing has to happen on the software layer since there is no user-accessible FPGA on the card.
