We've been using a cDAQ-9188 for many months now, but have just run into connectivity issues after our IT guy switched our servers to DHCP(I am not an IT person, so I am not totally familar with what that means).
The topology of the network is such:
-Labview is located on the "LABVIEW" computer.
-Ethernet comes in through the wall(from our server room) into an IP phone.
-From the IP phone, ethernet cable runs into "SWITCH 1".
-From switch 1, the "LABVIEW" computer is connected.
-In addition, a long ethernet cable runs from "SWITCH 1" to another room into "SWITCH 2".
-From "SWITCH 2", we have multiple connections, including our cDAQ-9188.
We are having issues in recognizing the DAQ in MAX. We've tried the following:
-Power cycling all equipment.
-Ensuring that all cords are run properly.
-Adding the device manually via Hostname.
-Adding the device manually via IP address(the old IP address of the DAQ).
-Tried running "self-test" on the old DAQ instance and got error -201250 everytime.
-Tried running "reserve chassis" and got error -201250 everytime.
-Reconnect Network Device and got a prompt to search via hostname or IP address.
-Tried "Find Network DAQ-MX devices" and got a list with only one grayed-out entry - the old cDAQ instance.
-Tried "Add GPIB Network device" but it didn't find anything.
-Tried "VISA TCP/IP Resource" but it couldn't find a device.
-Tried "Reset Chassis" but got error -201250 everytime.
Thanks for your help!

Hello!
I think you should focus on check which IP is your computer using and which IP we have on the cDAQ-9188. If they are not in the same subnet, you are not going to find it. Your IT guys should be able to assist you with that.
I suggest to follow the Network cDAQ Troubleshooting Resources guide.
