LabVIEW 7.1.1 upgrade problem

I am using LabVIEW 7.1 and want to update to 7.1.1. I could run the upgradation successfully. After that I tried to open the LabVIEW for mass compliation. But it shows an error (attachment) & didn't allow me to open LabVIEW.

I need to uninstall LabVIEW 7.1 and then reinstall it to open LabVIEW 7.1

Please let me know the solution for this.

thanks.

Hello,

Try the solution given in this document and see if it helps:

Good luck!

Shakhina,
Thank you for the reply.
I tried out the way you suggested, but unforutunately the same error continues.

Is there anything else I need to do?

regards,
Vishal.

Hi Vishal,

Which operating system are you using? Do you have any other NI Software installed on your computer? After installing the 7.1.1 upgrade, when you launch LabVIEW 7.1.1 you get this error message, right (that is, you are not launching an executable)? Also where did you download the LabVIEW 7.1.1 from: from here [broken link removed] or from the ftp site ftp://ftp.ni.com/support/labview/updates/windows/7.1.1?

Please let me know if you have more information on the issue.
Thank you and best regards,

Just wanted to note here that this solution worked for me, not only for error messages received for executables, but also running the DAQ express wizard in LabVIEW and also trying to create a DAQmx simulated device in MAX (without LabVIEW even running).  Fixing the 7.1.1 runtime engine as outlined in that link took care of it.

Hi all,

Thank you very much for replies.

But sorry to say that, it is not worked out for me yet.

I tried all the suggested way. Removing LabVIEW 7.1, Installing it again, check for LabVIEW runtime engine, everything. But yet it is not done.

Does any one has some other solution please let me know.

regards,

vishal
