Interface needed for Modbus ASCII or RTU and Labview?

What Hardware is needed to interface a Modus ASCII or RTU unit to the PC that has Labview drivers?

Hi dbaechtel,

 

Modbus works through either serial and/or Ethernet, depending on the device that you are working with.  The only hardware you need beside the device you're trying to communicate with is a serial card or Ethernet card, both of which are included in most computers.  Plus you probably need cables.
