How is Compact DAQ Clocked

I am considering using compact DAQ for my measurement application. I need simultaneous sampling on all channels and I need some analogue outputs to be clocked at the same time as the inputs. I notice that many of the c-series modules are simultaneously sampled but will this functionality be preserved across multiple input modules and will it be extended  to the analogue output modules that would use in the chassis?

I have the same problem.

Hi Ralph,

NI Compact DAQ uses the STC2 chip to provide timing signals to all the modules over the back plane. Because of this every module will use the same sample clock, so if you have simultaneously sampling modules then these will all be syncronised. Correspondingly you can use the same sample clock to driver the analog output. How ever your scan rate will be determined by the slowest modules in you scan list.
