How do you do continuous analog output that is timely?

Here are the screen shots requested. This shows the property node that I am calling:

I write new data to the buffers about every 7 seconds and check the propoerty each time. Here's the front panel:

This value is sometimes smaller on the first loop, but it always ends up showing the number of samples that I am writing.

Ok, a new problem. I am running the change detection event example and it runs fine -- for 999 times. Then it stops. To continue, I have to stop and restart the example.

 

Why 999?

The defaults for the DAQmx Timing VI are

 

sample mode:  Finite Samples

samples per channel: 1000

 

 

I'm assuming you just need to set the sample mode to Continuous Samples.

Did you configure your change detection task to be continuous?  I believe DAQmx defaults to finite acquisition of 1000 samples.
