Help with analog triggering

I am trying to use the external trigger for analog input. I have connected the trigger source to the analog trigger pin but my application will not trigger. The source for the trigger is a 35V potential. I have tried connecting resitors to decrease the voltage to no avail. I found that the PFI0 port outputs a 4.99V potential. I thought that didn't seem right. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

I probably won't be able to answer your question ultimately, but I can offer some help with posing your question:

1) What operating system are you running?

2) What DAQ device are you using for this?

3) What development environment (Labview, Visual Basic 6, Visual C++, Measurement Studio, etc.)?

4) 35V is pretty high- did you read the device specs to find out the maximum voltage you can apply?

5) Did you look for any example code for analog triggering?

When you post a question, you have to get outside your head and try to see the problem as someone looking in from outside. NI has a huge number of devices, and lots of different ways to program them. You have to provide basic information; this is probably why you haven't had answers.
