Error - 200329

HI,

I have encountered an error when running the test panels for a Ni-DAQmx device.  It passed the self test and the test panels for the Digital I/O and Counter I/O also pass with no errors, only hte Analog Input appears with an error .This error is preventing me from running any labview applications with the device.  Any ideas and suggestions would be most appreciated.

The error message is:

Error-200329 occured at daqmxcfg-DAQmx Start Task.vi

Possible reason(s):
An error has occurred while attempting to configure the device for analog input acquisition.
If an external master time base is being used make sure the source is connected and generating an appropriate clock.
Otherwise, contact National Instruments Technical Support.

The Ni-DAQmx device that I am running is a PCI-6034E and have a BNC-2110 connected to it.  I am running Windows XP on my computer  Ni-DAQ 7.1 and Labview 7.1

Thankyou for your time, any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Angela,

some questions that should help us to resove your problem:
What timing to you use? (single- point I/O, n- scans, cont)
Did the board work in the past?
In other machines?
With another version of NI-DAQmx Software?
What if you do test the board with the traditional DAQ test panels in MAX?
What if you disconnect the BNC connector box?

Best regards,

Stefan

Hi,

Sorry about the missing information, I'm a bit new to all of this.

The board has worked in the past, quite successfully to run the application I am using in for, in both the current computer and another one.

I am currently installing a newer version of the NI DAQ software, so it will be interesting to see if it fixes the problem.

I also tryed to test the board under the traditional DAQ panels in MAX with the same result, of an error 200329 in the analog input.

As far as I know the timing that I am using is based on the internal clock of the computer and i'm asking it to perform a set number of measurements each time the stepper motor moves the a number of steps.  This program application has worked fine in the past, it is just the last few days that has seen it giving me this error message.  So i'm pretty sure its not my program I wrote.

Thanks

Ange

HI,

I have just finished installing the newer version of NI-DAQ onto my computer and my system is now running properly.  Obviously just a bit behind in the updates and it crashed.

Hopefully it will continue to work and I won't have any further problems.

Thanks for your help

Angela

Hi,

well it worked fine for an hour or so, behaving itself and collecting data as it should (apart from a small programming error on my part in labview) and then it just stopped and gave me the same error message as before!!

The error message is in the first post on this thread and the current message is exactly the same as are all the parameters under which it should be operating!

Thanks in advance for your help

Angela,

sounds wired. Maybe the board is defective. I suggest to contact the Technical Support of National Instruments at your local branch.

You can find the address on http://www.ni.com/niglobal/

Good luck,

Stefan Smiley Happy
