Daq Installation

Hi,

I've got LABview 8.5.1 and I'm trying to interface with an NI USB-6259. I had plugged it into a USB port on my computer and it tried to install, but my internet connection was down and the installation failed and now I can't get it to try to install again. When I go to the DAQ Assistant, it says there are no supported devices found. How can I get my computer to recognize the device?

Thanks,

Brian

Did you install the device drivers and MAX first from the CD that comes with the device before connecting it to the USB port?

The CD that came with the device was outdated, but I did install MAX from an update I downloaded from the NI website.

Does the device show up in MAX?

Did you also download/install the DAQmx drivers too?

I think I got it working now. It appears to prefer some USB ports on my computer more than others Smiley Tongue

Ahh, technology. Thanks for your help!

Brian:

I think that device requires USB 2.0, I wonder if that is (was) the issue.

Glad to hear it is working.
