CompactDAQ I/O Module PCB Interface?

Hi,

We're accustomed to phoenix contact headers on our NI DAQ products, which allow us to select mating headers that we can mount to custom PCBs for one required function or another.

The CompactDAQ I/O modules appear to use 3.5mm male headers from Weidmuller (B2CF series) which does not appear to provide a solution in the form of a female PCB header which would allow a custom PCB card to plug directly into the I/O Module.

Has anyone struggled with this? These cards are not nearly as useful to us if we can't spin our own interface boards. Is there a male-to-male jumper or other solution?

I've found Phoenix Contact headers which will drop-in and allow us the freedom to mate to interface cards, but disassembling and de-soldering from the I/O module would be a tremendous headache in order to achieve some functionality that is default in other products...

Thanks and regards,

- Austin

Would these work?

Hi AK2DM,

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately this is only a single-level female connector, and terminates in a "push-in-spring" wired connection. I am seeking the two-level B2CF female connector which terminates in a through-hole PCB mount (the female version of the header already soldered to the board inside of the I/O module)

Thanks and regards,

Sorry about that, I saw PCB and figured it was the mount method.

None of Wieldmuller's 3.5 pitch products come in female PCB through-hole, just the males do, bummer.
