Cannot communicate with cDAQ 9178 with USB in NI MAX

I am on Windows 10 (from virtual machine) and after connecting my NI cDAQ-9178 Chassis with USB and downloading the latest cDAQmx drivers I can see my device on NI MAX (latest version) however it seems that I cannot interact with it (i.e I cannot change its name or check the other connected modules).

Is there something I am missing,

Hi naokisteward, 

Try to reconnect that by refreshing it or try to use another USB input port. Also, reset it by right-clicking on the device and selecting reset. Check the USB connecting does the PC recognizing the device.
