Buffer Error

I am trying to set up a program which seems simple, yet I keep getting
Error -10403 whenever I attempt to configure a buffer. I am using a
PCI-DIO-32HS with Windows NT 4.0 (incl. Service Pack 3) and LabView
5.0.1.f1. The memory is marked as allocated by Windows. I also am having
a great deal of trouble with an error whenever I attempt to set the
sampling frequency with Clock Config VI, both directly and indirectly
(with, say, DIO Start VI). Has anyone else run into these problems? I
contacted NatInst Tech Support and they can't seem to figure it out
either.

You may want to read my message from 7/14 titled DIO6533/AT-DIO-32HS
it seems related. Since then I got a little help from NI. The person who
I spoke with seems to think it is related to the new "measurement and
automation" software - NI-PAL is what it's called I think. If that's the
problem, then installing an older version of NI-DAQ that doesn't use
measurement and automation should fix it. I think NI-DAQ 6.0.0 and 6.1.0
would work.

I have the same setup and encounter about the same problems.
Did you find a working solutions in your case?

In our case, the NI-DAQ configurator (M&A
Explorer) test fails with
"device does not respond at base address". Furthermore NT crashes whenever
I try out large buffered operations (DIO Start). With small buffer sizes
I get a Labview
error as in your case.
The card is detected by PnP and
it is possible to make simple port/line operations using Labview 5.0.

I am scanning though news + trying to get help from NI.
Tried exensively swapping PCI slots and/or with/without other PCI cards
(including other NI PCI, which seem to work ok).
Tried with NI-DAQ software 6.0 (actual version 6.6). Tried with NI-DAQ 6.6
in Windows95. None of these helped.

Dear Jon

we experienced your problems and solved them. The problem is that we solved
them without ANY help from NI.
We developed a C application outputting a 2Mhz digital 8 bit or 16 bit word.
We use mode 4 handshake.
In the last months a consultant has tried to translate in LabView the C code
successfully (after a lot of blood and wet).
One of the problems we had is that you must use nidaq 6.51. We experienced
6.6 and 6.7 that work fine in C but not with LabView.

I will enquiry our consultant for other problems in the next days.

I'm too courius if I ask what are you doing with the 6533 ?
