Board is not functioning correctly

I have tried to contact NI via email and telephone and have not yet had
a callback. I purchased a 6031-E board over the summer to use with our
forceplate system. This board was suggested to us as one that would be
best to use with our system. However the data we are receiving out of
our board is not correct. It's been suggested by a tech in our dept.
that we try the 6071-E board instead since a simimlar lab is using this
and has had no problems. I know we are outside of the 30 day return
period so what would have to be done in order for us to get this new
board. Is there a way to exchange the boards out or would we have to
purchase another board.

You should first explain what exactly the problem is and what software you are using. You say the data is not correct but how is not correct? As far as I know the difference between the two boards is sample rate and number of bits where the 6071 has a faster sample rate but lower resolution. What type of signals are you measuring and what wiring configuration are you using?

Hi School_Lab,

Like Dennis mentioned, we need to have more details on what do you mean by the data is not correct...How your signal is connected, what is the frequency of the signal, what is your sample rate, etc...

In any case, I am suprise that you haven't received any response from us even whyen you called.  I think you should try again contacting us trought e-mail or phone by going to http://www.ni.com/support/.

Or you can always post your questions/comments here, and the we'd (NI and the Community) be happy to help out.

Thanks,
Vincent Carpentier, Ing./Eng.
