I have questions about the NI 9401 and 9402 Bidirectional DI/O modules.

 

I know you can configure them to be either input or outputs, but, how fast can someone toggle a pin between input and outputs on these modules? Also, could the software user toggle them to be output or inputs (I assume this can be done by having a case statement and a user interface of a true/false button)?
