Analog Input Configuration Error

I am using LabView 6.1 and MAX 2.2.0.3010.

The second mulitfunction board (both A/D boards are AT-MIO-16XE-50) in my system (One is Device 1, the other is Device 3) is getting a Analog input configuration error, 10403, when I test it with MAX Data Neighborhood test panels for each named variable.  However, it works properly when I test it with Device and Interfaces using the channel numbers in that panel.

I have even swapped the device numbers in my setup for the two physical boards to verify that it is not a problem with the board.  It is always device 3 that has the problem, independent of which of the two boards is device 3.

Are there restrictions on how A/D and Digital input boards are assigned Device numbers?

Thanks,
Conrad

Hello Conrad,

Perhaps the issue is related to the named variables (I'm assuming that you are referring to the Traditional DAQ virtual channels)?
I would try creating a new channel and testing it, and also changing some of the parameters of the channel to see if it has any affect.
You can also post a description of the your channel settings so we can take a look at them.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I was finally able to resolve the issue.  There was a corruption in the NIDaq configuration file.  I created a new configuration from within MAX and re-entered all....... of the information. It would be nice if there was a utility for printing the configuration information, so that it would be easier to duplicate.  Is it possible to convert it to a format that can be imported into a spreadsheet?

I tried just deleting some of the variables that were having a problem (about half of them) and re-entering, but every new variable would not work.  So I just started over.

Sincerely,
Conrad

Hello Conrad,

The attached VI might be able to help you out.  It reads the virtual channel parameters and saves them into a text file for you.  You could edit the VI to format and save them to suit your own needs.  I hope this helps!
