6221 device not recognized

Here's a puzzler for you. My M-Series DAQ (PCI-6221) was working fine until I mistakenly downloaded an example VI that was written for an earlier version of LabVIEW (I'm running 8.0). Understandable that it wouldn't run and I got an error telling me it couldn't find the device. But now MAX no longer sees the card and my app. software which was running fine before does not work either. I tried uninstalling NI-DAQmx and the board then reinstalling (driver first) but I still get the same result. Suggestions?

Frankly, most of the VI's written in lower versions, will work just fine with Higher versions of LabVIEW too. ( Here I assume that your example VI was using DAQmx functions itself)

Usually runnig a wrong/incompatible VI does not delete the device from MAX. So, maybe the problem lies in something else

So Exactly what error message did you get?? Post a a snap shot of it if you can replicate the same error state

Which example VI did you run??
