6008 usb error

I'm having trouble with the NI USB device monitor.  When ever I turn on the computer it thinks the NI USB-6008 is connected and when I do connect the device I get an error about the device working faster if plugged into a USB-2 port.  The ports on the computer are USB-2 and seem to be working with other devices and look ok in Windows Device Manager.    Using LabView 8.6 and software provided with DAQ.   DAQ seems to be working otherwise.  I have run the  NI update wizzard and checked for harware updates for my HP laptop.

Hello jd1056,

To prevent these messages, you can disable the NI Device Manager at startup. To do this, click Manager the NI Device Monitor icon in the system tray (it looks like an eagle), then deselect "Run at Startup."

Hi Abram,

I'm not really worried about the error message as I can just click it down.  I would like to be able to use the device as a USB-2 device though.

I will have to try installing the package on another computer to see if the device is faulty or if there is a proble with the driver and my computer.  If I disable USB-1 on my computer the device is not recognised at all.   Do you know if the USB-6008 is really capable of using  USB-2 ?

Thanks

Jim
