how to use advantech pci 1751 with labview.

i have to develop a vi for stepper motor motion in forward and backward direction using L297&298 driver. i am using PCI card 1751(advantech). can somebody help me to develop the vi.

i am complete novice. i would be glad if some one could suggest the steps right from setting up the hardware.

Hello tej, Since you are working with 3^rd party hardware, I personally have not dealt with the setup you are currently using.  However, since you are still new to motion control design, here are some general motion documents that are available on our website.  You can search for them directly by going to http://www.ni.com and searching with the keywords “motion control” Fundamentals of Motion ControlMotion Control Selection Guide Designing a Motion Control ProjectIf you have NI-Motion, there are also several examples that are available in LabVIEW if you go to Help >> Find Examples; however these are only compatible with NI hardware.  You still might take a look at the architecture to help in your own design.  I hope this helps get you started.  If you would like further clarification or assistance regarding this issue, please let us know.
