After upgrading my remote computer with the recently supplied Device Driver DVD, my motion capabilites have dissappeard. I cannot find my PCI-7332 card, and doing so causes an internal warning/error.
In MAX, expanding NI Motion Devices results in the "unexpected internal warning"
Details: The NIMotionUI.mxx plug-in caused an exception in the CmxProviderWrapper::BindPrimary function in the Max process.
Creates a zipped file of some sort.
Also opening NI Motion Assistant never actuall runs...
Windows 7 OS
NI MAX: 5.5.0f0
NI Motion: 8.5
NI Motion Assistant: 13.0
I'm not able to send a report as this machine is not actively on our network (but am trying to get it on).
In desperate need of a fix.
Thank you!

I've seen this issue before and reinstalling NI System Configuration resolved the issue. This file is responsible for naming and configuring your hardware in MAX. Please download and install this file and let me know if this resolves the issue.

Sorry, that didn't fix it.

Without a fix for the current version, I have been forced to wipe out the new installation, and try to reinstall the version/setup that worked.
Removed all NI folders from the computer.
Reinstalled the previous drivers that had worked.
Received the included logs upon re-opening MAX 5.4 multiple times.
Including the last 2 only...
This is really putting me behind schedule.
Thank you for your help!

Doesn't look like I can attach a .dmp file...

Try creating a technical support report from MAX and attaching that. It should generate a .zip file that includes all of the .dmp files along with some additional information that may help diagnose the issue.

I have re-installed the newest versions.
I am able to open MAX consistently.
Was even getting notifications in lower right that all my boards were installed correctly.
The 2 x PCI Daq boards, 1 USB Daq board, and even the PCI-7332 were all listed under Devices and Interfaces.
I've included a good start screenshot.
When trying to expand the NI Motion Devices entry, I get the same error. NIMotionUI.mxx plug in CMXProviderWrapper
Error logs have been sent to NI continuously.
Also including the error screenshot.

Please generate a MAX Technical Report and post it here as a *.zip file so that I can look through the information being propagated and see if it correlates to a known bug or an issue with a known workaround. You can do this by going to MAX>>Tools>>Create Report.
The reports sent in by the error reporter go directly to R&D and I don't readily have access to them. If you create this MAX report it should help me narrow down the issue.

Thanks!
Trying to create the report also causes the error/issue.
The report is not created, and MAX locks up.
I've tried this on 2 machines (a Windows 7 and an XP) with the same results.
The 3rd machine which is also XP but has the previous DVD distribution of drivers, allows me to expand and use the actual NI Motion hardware.
Until this issue is solved, I have to use the old version.

R&D has identified a bug affecting Motion 8.5 that you are experiencing. This is being tracked with CAR 423023. Please call into support so that we can help get you a temporary fix for this issue until the patch is released.
