Why do I see so much VB6 stuff here?

I use VB.Net in a professional environment and have done for years. I have been working in VB since (I think) 1998. My understanding was that VB6 was dead, like LONG dead. We spent millions ripping out old VB6 applications years ago and yet on this sub reddit which I joined a few weeks back I am seeing loads of posts related to VB6, but also people learning VB6. Is it still alive and well in some corner of the world or have I stumbled upon a sub culture that I was unaware of? I haven't met any programmers in my line of work that use VB6 still so I am at a loss, or maybe I am sheltered in a section of the community and missing out on something cool. Any help in understanding what I am seeing is appreciated.

Have you seen how old the post are? 2020 2018.

And beside that, whats wrong using VB6?

Still a good tool for 32-bit applications.

if you are seeing a lot of VB6 (Visual Basic 6) content in a programming-related context, it could be because VB6 was a popular programming language used in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Many applications, particularly in the business world, were developed using VB6 during that time period.

Furthermore, some legacy applications may still be in use that were developed using VB6, and developers may need to maintain or update those applications. As a result, there may be a demand for VB6-related resources, such as code samples, forums, and tutorials.https://uk.speedycourse.com/providers/92803/human-focus/profile

Additionally, some developers may still prefer to use VB6 for new projects due to its ease of use and familiarity, although it is not considered a modern programming language by today's standards.

OP is a 1 hit wonder and clearly recycled some post from Reddit to hit some post here.

For some reason some people like to do that. Not sure what they try to achieve. It seems rather pointless, but maybe it is a spammer account and they tried to prime a new account but forgot about it, in all their flurry.

I never liked VB6, but had to support it when working as NI application engineer some 30 years ago. I'm not sad that it is not getting used anymore much.
