unable to access network variables from other PC

I'm unable to view network variables from a remote PC on the same network as the network variable Host. I made sure that network variable type is network -published. This had been working in the past. Ni-PSP service seems to be running on the Host and remote PC.

Hi,

Are you able to use the BufferedWriter Example on one and OnDemandReader on the other successfully? There is also a good resource for troubleshooting these here.

Hi:

Think it has something to do with my firewalls. Been tweaking some parameters and I'm now able to see the process names on the remote server. Still unable to see the variables. The other challenge is that Win8.1 allows you to allow apps thru the firewall but don't see how to enable just a port.

Regards,

Dan

I think you can open ports in 8.1 using rules. It is discussed on this link but I haven't tried it.
