ImageStateHandler.axd gives HTTP Error 404.0 - Not Found on Windows Server 2008

Dear Measurement Studio Team ,

I am trying to test deploy an NI Web Forms application on Windows Server 2008, and I have thoroughly reviewed the Measurement Studio Help File "Deploying Web Forms Applications."

The problem is that the ImageStateHandler.axd does not work properly, and an HTTP Error 404.0 - Not Found Error Page is emitted (see attached error page) . The Web Page just shows a red x where the Led, Switch, or WaveformGraph controls should be on the web page. I recovered the 404 Error Page by looking at the raw HTTP traffic on my machine.

The web app was deployed with the following assemblies in the /Bin folder:

NationalInstruments.Common.dll

NationalInstruments.Common.Native.dll

NationalInstruments.UI.dll

NationalInstruments.UI.WebForms.dll

NationalInstruments.UI.Styles3D.dll

Two versions of web app was deployed: one with NI assemblies v. 8.1 and another with NI assemblies v. 8.5. Both versions gave the same HTTP 404 error on Windows Server 2008 . A similar Web Forms application was deployed on Windows Server 2003 with NI assemblies v. 8.1 / .NET 2.0, and it worked just fine.

Hello Benovice,

Thank you for posting on the NI Discussion Forums.  If you take a look at the readme file for Measurement Studio 8.5, you will see that it is officially supported on Windows Vista and XP operating systems.   Measurement Studio 8.1 is also supported on these operating systems, as well as Windows 2000.  If you would like to see support for other operating systems, we welcome product suggestions at our Product Suggestion Center, and take a hard look at these before adding features to future software releases.  Thanks for the feedback!
