Couldn't show LED in Windows 7 X64

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I write a progrm by  measurement studio 8.1.2 +vs2005 in win XP, and I put some LED components in the form and build a msi file for x86.

When I try to run the program in the other PC, one PC with windows 7 x64 couldn't show the LED components.

I try the other PC with windows 7 x64 and work, just only one PC couldn't see the LED componets.

How can I do??

Thanks

Dennis

hello.

measurement studio 8.1.2 & vs2005 does not support win7.

so sometimes you will meet strange conditions when you run that program on PCs.

we don't know the software/anti-virus you have installed on one PC with windows 7 x64 couldn't show the LED components.

we don't know the hardware spec. & driver version on your PCs.

below are my suggestions.

1. try to find the pc with same spec. & same driver versions.

2. try to find clean pc to compare. maybe some software conflicts with your vs2005/measurement studio 8.1.2

3. reinstall your win7 on that unworkable PC.

4. disable anti-virus or resident program/software.

Hi,

If I upgrade measurement studio to 2010 in my PC,

could I only copy NationalInstruments.UI.dll, NationalInstruments.UI.WindowsForms.dll....etc. to user PC without reinstall my program?

This typically has to do with the dependency Mesa.dll that is needed for 3D styles as explained in this KB:

There is also a known issue for distributing to Windows 7 as documented in this KB:
