Could the PCIextender MXI3 (coax) be exchanged with MXI4 (complete set) ?
Or are there incompatibilities in specs, e.g. transfer speed, ... ?

MXI-4 is the successor of MXI-3, so you can replace your MXI-3 kit with the MXI-4 kit. The differences are described here in detail:

Both kits are a transparent PCI-to PXI bridge, so you don´t have to install additional drivers or make adjustments to your setup or software.
