unable to interface axis ip network camera

May I know if it possible to interface the Axis IP network camera using the LabView IMAQ software. I can't find any example solution regarding that, can you giving and solution for me. Thank you.

You can find a list of support cameras on our website at:

To communicate with a camera, you must use a camera file.  The camera files developed by our R&D team for cameras on the market can be found at the link above.  If you are using a generic camera, such as an RS170, NTSC, CCIR, or PAL, our IMAQ driver will install a default camera file configuration that should work for these cameras.

For Win32 systems, Axis provide a developers SDK, which you can download from their site and includes the ActiveX modules for acquiring images.

I have a "Grand Wi-FI Camera", I need to visualize the video in a labview panel, do you have any suggest?

P.S. The camera exporte the file .mpeg4 in a ftp server.

Thank you for your post.  Do you have more information on your "Grand Wi-Fi" camera?  It would be helpful to know the manufactuer, if it is an analog or digital camera, and what standards it conforms too.

If you are unable to locate your camera in the above link of supported cameras, it may be possible to create your own camera file using our camera file generator:

This program is a free tool developed by our R&D team to help customers who can not find a camera file for a specific camera.  While this tool is not supported through our applications engineers, it may be possible for you to use this to find a solution for your camera.

I'd like to acquire the video or a sequence of images from the IP wi-fi camera by internet, visualizing in a VI the image.I downloaded your "File camera generetor" but it isn't supported and I don't know if it may be useful.

But before I must resolve an other problem, I do not succeed to make to transfer by ftp the mpeg4 file on server ftp.

My ftp server have this url: ftp://192.168.0.7 without password.

I set the ftp service of the IP cam in this way:

Enable:	Enable	Disable
Server URL:
User:
Password:
Remote Path:

Have you any suggest?

Thanks for the additional information.  Currently NI dirvers do not support IP cameras of this type.  These are similar to GigE cameras.  We do plan to release a driver designed to work with these cameras in the near future, but a release date has not been set.  For more information about these drivers, please see the following discussion forum post:

Hi Scott,

I am also using a webcamera from Grandtec. The link is http://www.grandtec.com/webcam.htm.

I want to perform image capture on LABVIEW for this web camera. I tried the LabVIEW Webcam Library functions provided by Pete, but somehow I am not able to receive any images on the front panel. I tried running the Webcame Get Digitizer vi to get the driver number, but it only shows WDM at number 0.

Could you suggest me any ideas as I am totally new to this area. Any help is appreciated.
