spyder3 GigE no connecting MAX

I have a 4k color gigE spyder camera from dalsa and am having trouble getting it to work in NI-Imaqdx environment.

The camera shows up in max but can not be selected (error when clicking on it)

I checked to see the imaqdx/data folder, a zip file is created but is invalid and no XML entry is found.

I am able to get this to work in the Dalsa quick cam exe but this is not usable since I ma developing the applicataion in labview and imaqdx.  Has anyone had similar problems.  I am waiting on dalsa to reply but thought I would have some better luck here.

There is a KB talking about Dalsa Spyder GigE Cameras & GigE Vision-Compliance.

It seems that there are some Dalsa Cameras which are not compliant to GigE. A firmware upgrade might help though.

Hi Paul,

I believe I have already communicated with you directly, but for the sake of others who might come across the same problem, I'll respond with details here as well. It appears that Dalsa mistakenly released a new firmware version for their Spyder3 that unfortunately has a completely blank ZIP file. It appears that the currently shipping Sypder3's may be affected. I suggest anyone seeing this exact error with the Spyder3 contact their vendor for a replacement camera or firmware update.
