saving snapshot

I'm using Imaq 1394 cameras to take a live image.  I give the user the option to snap the image by turning off the live acquisition so that the las fram is left on the screen.  How can I give them the option of saving this file to disk?

I've tried using a local variable of the Image Control, but the resulting file is unreadable unless it is in live image mode...

Hi,

If you are beginning with LabVIEW and/or IMAQ there are a couple of "typical beginner's mistake" you should know about ; could you post the code you made so that we can give appropriate advice ?
