image warping using image calibration

Hallo to everybody

I have a problem with labview...

I want to use the "image calibration" in order to apply a given deformation to an image, defined by the translation of 4 reference point

In order to understand how these vis work, I tried a simple example:

-I create a 5x5px image (black on the perimeter, white inside)

-I translate the two upper corners of 1 px toward the middle of the image and fix the two lower corners

-I apply the image correction based on the translation of these 4 points

the problem is that I don't understand how is the algorithm working, the result is not what I would expect, it is not even symmetric...

please find in attachment the simple example...

can someone help me?

thank you very much, truly appreciate you help

Paolo

Dear Mazzo,

Thank you for posting on NI Discussion Forum dashboard. What kind of image deformation are you facing with (linear, non-linear)? Moreover, what LabVIEW version, IMAQ drivers and Vision software tools (Vision Assistant?) are you working with? Can you provide for an image example in order to have us make some tests?

Anyway, here below I provide some useful links I hop could drive you to better understand your issue:

Let me know if you need additional resources.

Best regards

Matteo
