how to remove background from the image?

Can you explain how you are triggering the camera?

hi,

attached is some new image captured while the conveyer is moving. i tuned the shutter value at MAX from 7 to 100 besides tuned the lighting at light and tuned the exposure and resolution at the camera. the end user said he prefer the previous image. Please advise.

nope...the static (conveyer not moving but just put the fruit at the center of  the camera)..attached is the picture.

I guess you are renaming the bmp to png which makes the very purpose of fast upload/view/download useless. Please save it as a png instead of renaming. I am still waiting to view the image......

I feel you have achived the same quality in dynamic condition as well. Comparing the image _152.jpeg from the New Image.zip with the above one looks good to me and as such there is no complex distinguishing or measuring required. Correct me if otherwise........

Now reviving the question, So now are you able to remove the background and find\extract the object?

By thresholding can but the end user request the image to be in the RGB or color...i am still looking the answer and trial and error.

how should the background eliminated image look like . Black back ground with the object? you can do a image mask or roi to mask and that roi you can find it dynamically. No background and only the image. You can use an imaq extract and extract the object.

black background is better too.i found one example in the forum as attached and trying to change the rectangle extract to oval extraction..attached is the result from the rectangle extraction programming. i am trying to make automate without manual selecting the object.
