error using IMAQ 1394 example vis

Hello,

I use a BASLER A301f digital camera with the NI-IMAQ IEEE-1394 1.1 driver. I can grab and snap with my camera when I run MAX.
When I try to use the LABVIEW example vis ( snap or grab), I've got the error code -1074364408 and the dialog box says that the code is not defined.
I looked in the help and this code stands for "feature not present in camera". What can be the problem ?

Thank you !

Vanessa,

Here's the big question: Did you use firewire examples or regular IMAQ examples? Only firewire examples will work with a firewire camera.

If you are using firewire examples, it should work fine. Usually if snap and grab work in MAX they will work in LabVIEW.

Hello,

Yes, I used the examples of the IMAQ1394 library files. For instance, when I used the grab example, init and setup are ok and the error seems to occur within the grab node. I haven't changed the examples, I've just updated the image type because it was not the same as in Labview 7.0.

It's always good to start with the obvious questions.

My next recommendation is to find out if upgrading to the latest version of the firewire drivers will help. I'm not sure what changed from version to version, but they made some improvements. The bug you are seeing may have been resolved. The upgrade is free, but you have to contact NI to get it.

Ok, thank you !
I've already ordered the upgrade, I will try again the example vis when I get it...
