comparar imagenes

hola a todos,

 Tengo una pregunta, veran tengo una base de datos compuesta de imagenes en mi pc y lo que quiero es que yo tomo una foto nueva y se me compare con todas las fotos que tengo en la base de datos y que el programa me indique que si esta efectivamente dentro de la base de datos. Es esto posible hacerlo? Ay problemas con la distancia a la q tomo la fotografía tamanos de letras en las imagenes de la base de datos, etc?? la imagen tomada tiene q ser exactamente igual a la q tenga en la base de datos para que exista coincidencia y resulte lo que estoy tratando de hacer?

Necesito hacer esta comparacion en escala de grisis o en binario o en q tipo de imagen es mejor?

I have a question, look i have a data base compound by diferent images in my laptop and i want to take a new photo and compare with all the photos i have in the data base. If a match happen i want the program automatically tell me if the new image is in the data base or not. Is this possible?? Are there any problems with size of pictures or all that stuff??? To get a match is it necessary that the new photo has the exact size and rotation than the ones that are in my data base?? Do i need to analyze de images in gray scale or binary image or in what? Explain me please...
