Vision Assistant Oval ROI

Solved!

Hi

I’ve developed a machine vision application using the VBAI, in that application, I used the “Create ROI” to create an oval ROI and in the next step I tried to detect an object in the ROI previously created. Actually, I’m developing the same application in LabVIEW using the Ni Vision Assistant, but I can’t find the way to create an Oval ROI and when I use the “Detect Object” function, it required a rectangular ROI, but I really need the oval ROI. Someone can help me? Thank you

Maybe I'm missing something, but in Vision Builder AI, the Detect Objects step allows you to use Oval ROIs. When you edit the step there is an area at the top of the Window with various ROI topols available, and if you select the Oval shape, when you draw ROIs on the image they are oval.

In Vision Assistant, there isn't a Detect Objects step. Let me know what I'm missing.

Thanks,

Brad

Yeah, in the Vision Builder i used the Oval ROI and then the detect objetcs step and the application works perfectly, but when i tried to do that on the vision assistante i can´t find the way.

When i´m developing the same application in LabVIEW usig the Vision Assistan, i tried to use the count and measure objects fu nction and it only accepcts rectangular ROI, and when i run the application it doesnt´work, so I need to count and measure objetcts using an oval ROI.

You can stick to the same thread right?.

I am not getting what you want to save? You have already thresholded the image into a binary image do you want to save this? Can you attach the block digram screen shot instead of front panel one?
