USB camera configuration parameters

Para XP sp2, en el caso de logitech, el driver tiene que ser el qc848esp ( creo, el ultimo que hay en la web de logitech)
que sea usb1.1 o 2 solo te afectara en la velocidad. Yo estoy usando USB1.1

Si sigues teniendo problemas, tratare de ayudarte.

I have changed the cam driver and reinstall all components and the problem is the same, i m lost, I dont know how to continue with my project, i show allways the same mesage, The settings of this camera are invalid, I have tries with the qtlib and i can adquire the image only in one  vi, but i want to adquire the image in orther to built an artificial vision aplication, and i cant see images with vision assistant and i dont know how to built a vsion aplication with labview. I m looking for help.

Gracias alipio, por cierto parece que tu sabes mucho del tema, soy estudiante, de zaragoza y estoy trtando de hacer un sistema de vision artificial, no tengo conocimientos previos con labview pero soy muy cabezon y lo conseguire, de todas formas de momento no progreso mucho como puedes ver, no me imagino porque no me adquiere imagenes, porque con lo de quick time funciona en una de las aplicaciones, aunque no se como usar esa imagen que recibo, soy un mar de dudas, no hago mas que leer tutoriales y manuales, pero es que nadie explica nada. Si te sientes con fuerzas jejeje y me hechas un cable prometo mandarte una caja de vino de mi region que es acojonte, jejeje.

Tu caso es bastante extraño. Intentare ayudarte en lo que pueda.

Dado que habra que hacer varias pruebas, y quiza enviar algunos programs, seria conveniente que pusiese una direccion de correo para comunicarnos directamente.

Mira a ver si tienes posibilidad de usar otro PC para instalar todo de nuevo, o, en su defecto, instalarlo en el que tienes.

Por el idioma de XP no debe haber problema, ya que yo uso el XP en español y todo funciona bien.

I just tested things in XP SP2 ESP and it fails. I got errors in vision and vision assistant. I know things go fine under XP sp1 esp.

I will make some more tests to see if it is a language problem.


If you want to go on with your project, you can try ROBOLAB for Labview.

Its multimedia part can adquire pictures from usb webcams and convert to IMAQ for further processing.

He reinstalado winows xp sp1 + sp2 en mi portatil y el problema con el vision asistant perdura, por otro lado he instalado el robolab y funciona correctamente, he estado en contacto con NI y he comprado una licencia para estudiantes asi que he decidido por completo desarrollar este proyecto, de todas formas he de solucionar ese dichoso problema, porque con quicktime funciona y con lo otro no, acaso puede ser culpa del directx, porque robolab funciona bajo quicktime tambien creo. Cualquier avance que descubras comunicamelo, estoy aprendiendo labview, no se mucho, pero te digo que mi proyecto es bastante ambicioso y quiero hacer algo grande.

Por aqui en el foro creo que hemos de comunicarnos en Ingles, asi que te envio mi correo electrónico para poder concretar mas sobre pruebas y  todo eso fernandomora@svalero.es

Ahora la historia es comunicar la imagen del robolab con imaq creo para a partir de ahi tratar la imagen.

Roblolab es gratuito y libre?

Puedo utilizar otras librerias gratuitas de vision para realizar busquedas por patron, es por descargar mas librerias?

En un futuro se puede generar un exe que no necesite labview como motor?

Estas y otras mil preguntas, que pesado soy.

I can assure you that LabVIEW Remote Front Panels have nothing to do with the issues you are experiencing. The NI-IMAQ for USB Cameras User Guide that I downloaded from the public EPD states that it is compatible with any DirectShow device, Windows 2K and XP, LabVIEW 7.0 or later with IMAQ Vision 7.1 or later, and Vision Assistant 7.1 or later. One important thing to note is that you need to have installed the 3rd party driver for your USB camera prior to installing NI-IMAQ for USB. I hope this helps. Take care!

I m going to get a w xp sp1 english version, and i will install it, i ll coment you the results, i hope it runs.

On monday I recibe a studient version license of labview and imaq, and i willl reinstall everything.

I m building now my vision machine with the webcam blue leds, and black policarbonate in orther to have a real machine vision hardware.

In the manual for NI-IMAQ for USB, on page 9, there is a list of USB error codes and their description. It says: "-1074396024 System memory error". It sounds like the driver is trying to make a access to a memory location that it should not be.
