No it is not correct.Telecentric lens has nothing to do with eliminating calibration as far as i know. Telecentric lens can be used in application where 2 surfaces seperated by a small distance can be tried to brought into focus and telecentric lens can be used to increase resolution.In fact it is the other way round. Since u are bringing in different surfaces into focus u need to calibrate it more efficiently.Smiley Very Happy

If you mean to ask that Telecentric lens is going to eliminate image distortion due to as observed when using a CCTV type lens so that you do not have to use NI's calibration VI to correct the images than you are correct. Using a telecentric lens you should get a perfectly undistorted image, even at the periphery of the FOV.

Schneider Optics has a non Telecentric lens line that has minimal distortion. But these are pretty expensive, about 2 to 3 times what you would pay for Fujinon or likes of it.
