Sony XCD-SX910 IEEE 1394 drivers for Vista

I am lookingh for Sony XCD-SX910 IEEE 1394 drivers for Vista.
There are drivers for WinXP but I could not make it work under Windows Vista(new PC is supplied with it, thank you Bill G).
Is it possible to make it work under this OS so I cam use Vision Builder?

Hi Dr Zhdanov,

IMAQdx 3.0.1 (included with Vision Acquisition 8.2.2) has full support for Windows Vista. With this update you should have no problems using your Sony 1394 camera with Vision Builder.

Let me know if you still have issues or questions getting setup.

Thanks,
Eric G

Hi there,

Although the latest IMAQdx drivers do support Windows Vista, Vision Builder doesn't yet. You should be able to control your camera on the Vista machine via MAX but you won't be able to program it with Vision Builder.

Also, I'm not sure if you are aware but IMAQdx for 1394 is a licensed piece of software:

Dr Zhdanov,

First some clarification. I had assumed by "Vision Builder" you mean Vision Builder for Automated Inspection. If that is the case, then the new 3.0.1 version does support Windows Vista fully. The 3.0.1 version is a free upgrade from 3.0.

Additionally, Vision Builder for Automated Inspection includes a license for Vision Acquisition 8.2.2 so you get a licensed version of IMAQdx 3.0.1 (also with full Vista support) as well.

Hope this helps,
Eric G

My apologies Dr Zhdanov (and Eric G), I hadn't realised Vista support was available for our Vision products yet, although I should have checked more thoroughly.

I worked in sales when IMAQ 1394 was still a seperate license and was unaware that it had been incorporated into the cost of VBAI.

Good luck with your project and feel free to post again if you've any more questions.

Kind regards,

Sarah

We have received full version of software just today(we have been using downloadable version).
Hope they will work under Vista, but as far as I understand there are no drivers for Vista for this camera(to use it in Windows) but this camera should work in Vision builder without them.
Ok we'll see.
Thanks again. Sergey.
