PCIe-1427 driver problems

I am trying to install drivers for our two NI - PCIe-1427 image acquisition cards in our Core2Duo (E6850), 3.23GB RAM, Win XP Pro SP2 computer. I have installed the NI-IMAQ-313 package however the drivers can still not be found in 'Add hardware'.

Hi!

You might try installing the latest version of NI-IMAQ from NI's website.  It is available for download as part of a group of drivers called Vision Acquisition Software (VAS).  The latest version of VAS is version 8.5.  It contains NI-IMAQ, NI-IMAQ IO, and NI-IMAQdx.  NI-IMAQdx requires a license to activate, but you can choose to not install it if you are not planning on using it.  Also, if you had the board physically installed to the computer before you installed the IMAQ drivers, this might be the cause of the issue.  To remedy this, you should be able to shut down the computer, remove the PCIe card, restart the computer.  Then shut down the computer, reinsert the PCIe card, and then startup again.  This will allow the board to be instanced immediately under the NI-IMAQ driver instead of a generic windows driver.  If you decide to install the latest version of IMAQ, go ahead and remove the PCIe card before doing so.  Then, after the driver is installed, shut down the computer, insert the card, and restart.  I hope this helps!
