NI VISION

Hi,

I would like to detect printing using map defects function. However, map defects unable to give a stable reading of largest defect area. Is there any method or feature to inspect printing with stable measurement?

Im not sure what you mean by Map Defects Function. We can discuss further; do you have representative images?

Hi,

Attached here is the sample image. My objective is to check whether there are any defects on the printing such as scratches or ink. Currently I use Map Defects feature in Vision Builder software however, the value of largest defect area is unstable. Therefore, I would like to use other method to inspect and get a stable measurement.

Thank you.

What about using golden image to compare?

If you have known Golden image of the printing from a good sample you could compare to the good image and find the differences.

I think Amit's idea of a golden image is a good approach.  I don't use Vision builder, it has traditionally had a limited tool set, which is frustrating, when I'm used to the full range in the Vision Development System.
