Is there a vision function reference for LabWindows/CVI?

I installed the CVI and vision module, but it seems that I cannot find any documentation and the function reference for the  Vision functions.
I mean those image processing and machine vision function, not those functions for iamge acquisition.

Thanks

Hey mehmegt,

The documentation for the LabWindows/CVI is somewhat hidden because at some point many manuals were consolidated into an NI Vision Bookshelf.  You can access this file in two ways:
  1. Start->All Programs->National Instruments->Vision->Documentation->Search the NI Vision Bookshelf.  Within this file is a link for NI Vision for LabWindows/CVI Function Reference Help.
  2. C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Vision\Documentation\NIVisionCVI.chm.

This should get you to the reference you need.

RyanF  :

There is no Document folder under the vision directory.
I am using Labview 7.1, and installed CVI and Vision development module 7.0.
I also checked the installation CD and did not see any sub-components that I did not installed.

The attached is my vision dir

Are you sure that is the right location?

Thanks

mehmetg,

Make sure you installed support for CVI and for the CVI documentation.   You can check to see if you installed the documentation by going to the Windows control panel and double clicking on "Add/Remove Programs".  One in there, go down the list of software titles until you see "National Instruments Software", then select "change".  A new list of programs will popup, find NI Vision 7.0 and select "change".  Then check to see if CVI support was installed.

Good Luck,
